4. Kumar Sangakara – Wicket Keeper
Kumar Sangakara, who was once called the backbone of Sri Lanka, has been selected as the wicketkeeper in this All Time Champions Trophy 11 team. His wicket-keeping records shows that he has made his team win the match from behind the wicket as well. Apart from this, other players in this team were not able to make a place even though having good performances in Champions Trophy career.
Here are some names with classical performances such as Adam Gilchrist could have been included in this list as a wicket-keeper but Kumar Sangakara’s wicket-keeping record and batting record were much better than Gilchrist. While Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling record was good, his batting did not show any edge in the Champions Trophy career but better luck for this time as he is still in the playing squad of India for Champions Trophy 2025.
